CLIMATE FUTURES

"Climate Futures" is a center for Research-based Innovation that aims to produce new and innovative solutions to be able to predict and manage climate risks from ten days to ten years in the future. Stakeholders from various fields such as insurance, shipping, agriculture, fisheries, hydropower, public agencies and more, work closely together in the project.

ACCIBERG

The presence of sea ice and icebergs in the Arctic Ocean presents challenges for shipping, fisheries and tourism. Rising temperatures lead to increased ship traffic in the area. The project "Arctic Cross-Copernicus forecast products for sea ice and icebergs" aims to create precise warnings about the spread of sea ice and icebergs, both in the near future and through seasonal forecasts. The research will contribute to safer navigation in the Arctic.

HiAOOS

The Arctic Ocean is an exciting area for researchers. Increased knowledge about the Arctic is of great importance because climate models can be improved if we get more data from the region. In order to obtain better information about the sea under the ice, new technologies will be developed in the project "High Arctic Ocean Observation System".
