Antoine Bernigaud

Antoine Bernigaud obtained a PhD in optimization methods applied to data assimilation for geosciences, in Toulouse (France) in 2022.

Bernigaud now works on machine learning in the data assimilation team at the Nansen Center. He focuses on super-resolution for data assimilation, that is improving the resolution of the observations using techniques stemming from deep-learning, a type of artificial intelligence. He is currently working on implementing this idea into the data assimilation system TOPAZ for the North Atlantic Ocean and Arctic.
