Clarissa Endo
Researcher
Clarissa Endo is an oceanographer who obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Oslo and the Institute of Marine Research in 2022. Her doctoral research focused on understanding how variability in environmental and biological factors affects fish larval survival, using observations, coupled biophysical models, and individual-based models.
She also has experience in the private sector, where she worked with in situ current, and wave and dispersion modelling in the aquaculture industry.
Her main research interest is understanding how environmental variability influences biological processes and interactions within marine ecosystems. At the Nansen Center, she is part of the Climate Dynamics and Prediction group, where she uses modelling tools to investigate how environmental variability and climate change affect ocean ecosystems. Her current research focuses on lower trophic levels, including algae and bacteria.
