Nili Liu
Research Assistant
Nili Liu obtained her BSc from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She works as a research assistant at the Nansen Center, and she is also a PhD candidate at Peking University.
Her research focuses on how precipitation patterns respond to the tipping point of a changing climate, in particular towards a sea-ice-free Arctic Ocean. During her stay at the Nansen Center, she will study air-sea-ice interactions in the new Norwegian Earth System Model experiments for CMIP7, especially how Atlantic water inflow shapes the Arctic Ocean and sea ice, and how the Arctic Ocean interacts with the atmosphere at high and middle latitudes.
