The model can simulate conditions down to a few meters above the ground. In this way, complicated topographic conditions and larger building masses can be taken into account when studying wind direction and wind speed at lower altitudes. The spread and effect of air pollution from various sources such as ships and car traffic can, for example, be simulated for a single district. We have experience with assessments of the spread and effects of air pollution in Bergen. Examples of other uses are analyses of road conditions, such as extreme wind speeds or icing.
