The abundance of Vibrio and bacterial population structures will be described through cultivation methods from samples coming from both seafood (bivalves) and seawater (main routes for human infections). The observed bacterial data will be mapped against remote sensing observations (e.g., sea surface temperature) with a 1-2 week lag before sampling to analyse whether remote sensing can indicate potential Vibrio blooming.

      Expand text

Client: Norwegian Space Agency

Project owner: Institute for Marine Research

Project leader at the Nansen Center: Edson Silva

1
2
3
…
17

[/vc_column][/vc_row][/vc_section]

[vc_section css=”.vc_custom_1669014075681{background-color: #ffffff !important;}” el_class=”full-image”][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text] The Nansen Center leads or participates in around 100 research projects at any given time, see our portfolio of ongoing projects.
