She is obtaining her PhD at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU, Norway) in 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Herrmannsd\u00f6rfer studies the interaction of atmosphere, ocean and ice in the Arctic. She is specialised on the analysis of atmosphere-, ocean- and ice-model outputs, but also works with in-situ and satellite data across various spatial scales. In her Master&#8217;s thesis she compared model, in-situ and satellite data of the sea-ice surface temperature from the MOSAiC expedition.
