Lingling Suo is a climate scientist. She received her PhD in Atmospheric Science from Peking University in 2008 and joined the Nansen Center the same year, where she has since pursued research on climate variability and change.

Her research spans Earth’s energy imbalance and global warming, decadal to multi-decadal climate variability, and climate change and extremes in the Arctic and Eurasia. A central theme of her work is understanding the physical processes driving changes in the climate system, including the roles of external radiative forcing and interactions among the ocean, sea ice, and atmosphere.

More recently, she has focused on the exceptional global warmth of 2023–2025 through EEIWarm, a FRIPRO Researcher Project for Experienced Scientists funded by the Research Council of Norway. The project investigates the relationship between this persistent global warmth and Earth’s energy imbalance, as well as the underlying physical mechanisms.

["post-4132","employee","type-employee","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry
],"publishpress_future_workflow_manual_trigger":
["GET
