The group's task is to strengthen the center's data management and ensure that the FAIR principles are adhered to by developing and making research data available through various services and systems.

The FAIR principles are findability, accessibility, interoperability, and reusability. These must always be followed when researchers handle data. The group has expertise in the development and establishment of services and systems for processing and management of geographic data. The objective is to make it easy for researchers to follow the principles, and easy for users to find data for their own purposes.

The group develops data catalogs and portals that make the data easily accessible. It also develops visualization services and software for converting files into formats that make the data easier to use and reuse. In addition, the group develops services for integrating, processing and visualising data from different sources for use in science and public sector.
