Anqi Lyu
PostDoc Fellow
Anqi Lyu obtained her PhD in Geography at Université catholique de Louvain (Belgium) in 2022.
During her PhD, Lyu focused on recreating the past climate for the last nine interglacials – time periods with warmer than average global temperatures. Her results help improve the knowledge on how the climate system behaves in the context of future global warming. She used two models (HadCM3 and LOVECLIM) for this work and studied the paleoclimate variation in East Asia, mainly focusing on the East Asian monsoon. At the moment, Lyu studies the global paleoclimate for the past 1000 years. She uses the NorCPM model and the EnKF data assimilation method for her current work. She aims to create the first online millennium-long paleo-climate reanalysis.
